Choo Choo

This past weekend my friend Mel and I took our boys to the Children’s Museum. I have to say, I haven’t been since I was a child and I was quite impressed. I thought Lennon might be a bit young, but they had so many activities for toddlers his age. It was a big hit with both boys…helps that the Thomas the Train exhibit was in full force. Can I get a chug a chug a choo choo!

After the museum we dragged the boys to lunch & they did surprisingly well. Throw in a nuk, an I-phone and treats and we were able to extend them well into their normal nap hour. Here the two are having an important conversation about a fly:

A Man of Few Words

Lennon is pretty conservative with his vocabulary. He’ll throw out the occasional new word and then we don’t hear him say it again for weeks. They use sign language at daycare so we’ve been using that a bit at home. He knows how to sign “more”, “all-done” and “milk”. Although he sometimes uses them interchangeably, ha. This week he started saying the actual word “more”. It’s so cute because the R sounds like a W. Then we were walking home from the park last night and out of nowhere he pointed to a lady cutting the grass and said “lawn mower”. We of course asked him to repeat it about 5 times. He is pretty much obsessed with lawn mowers & buses right now so it makes sense that he’s starting to talk about them. The funny part is that he acted like he’s been saying it for years. We got that “what’s the big deal?” look from him. It’s fun to see the wheels turning in that little mind.
