And with that...May is over

It seems that May must have been a busy month in the Wiegratz household as I haven’t blogged in almost a month. Summer is in full swing (finally!!!) and we have been trying to get outside and enjoy the weather while it’s nice.

Lennon has been changing so much lately…which I think I say every month. This month he seems to be talking more and it’s so cute to see him pointing things out and understanding. His most popular word of the moment is “dad-dee”. He also says “mamamamama”, “uh-oh”, “puppy” and a version of “hot”. “Puppy” sounds more like a combination of the word mixed with a “woof-woof” sound, but we’re getting there. The little guy is obsessed with animals right now and whenever we go outside he’s on the hunt for the next puppy sighting. He loves to run around outside, swing at the park, eat dirt and drag things along the sidewalk. He has been a bit of stinker lately in the behavior department. Would strong-willed be a nice word for it? Major tantrums occur pretty much any time he has to do something he doesn’t want to do. The most prominent being diaper changing, getting dressed, coming in from outside or getting out of the bath. All hell breaks loose if he needs to take medicine and he’s now learned how to spit it back out. The stuff tastes like a melted Popsicle so I think it’s more of a control issue. With that being said, he can be such a sweet heart at times. I love when he randomly comes up to give me a kiss or hug, or shares his food with us (a true sign that he loves us). Eating in general usually goes well, but snacks are still preferred over anything substantial…typical kid that way, I guess.

Here are some photos of the little love as of late:

I mentioned previously that our weather has been amazing lately! We sure appreciate a sunny day in MN.

Feeling a little under the weather, of course this happens right when we get back from vacation.

Rolling down the street mowing the side-walk, sippin on probiotics and juice….with my mind on my mommy and my mommy on my mind.

Our newest hobby is lining things up. In the below photos he's lining up his eczema creams and his breakfast. He gets the most determined look on his face and tries to make sure they are put together just right. Not a trait he gets from mom ;)

Taking a break on the front step after a grueling hike down the block.

Dave and I just took a 4 day trip out to Seattle and Portland where we did a lot of this. We sure missed our little guy, but the trip was great and it was so fun to see Lennon when we got home.

Cheers to the start of summer!

First Haircut

We took Lennon to “Kids Hair” last night for his first official haircut. He got to sit and watch Frozen while getting bubbles blown at his face and he still reacted unfavorably. Wow I look like a desperate mom in this video. Fail.
