I’m not sure how good I’ll be at keeping up with this blog, but I figure it’s the best way to keep you all up-to-date on the happenings of baby Wiegratz…due to arrive around February 28th, 2013.
Some thoughts on this pregnancy so far: I have to say it has gone pretty well. I had some nausea & food aversions in the first trimester, felt a surge of energy in the 2nd and now I’m feeling a little tired and uncomfortable in the 3rd. The minimal aches and pains that come with pregnancy are so worth it, though. Every day we pinch ourselves at how lucky we are to be expecting our first child.
Enough sappiness. At 36 wks, Dave and I are “those” parents-to-be who sit around at night watching my stomach contort & reading books about how to get your baby on a sleeping schedule. I often think we’ll look back and laugh during those “survival mode” moments at how prepared we thought we were before we had a baby. I’ve been pretty bad at taking photos of my growing womb during this pregnancy, but here is a load of random I-phone shots that sum up the past 9 months pretty well. Yes, some of them were taken in the bathroom at work on a day where my hair looked halfway decent….except for the photo where I’m holding the pregnancy test…my hair pretty much represents how I was feeling at that moment; like someone was teasing me.

Dave’s guess on due date/gender/weight: February 28th (real original)/Girl/7 lbs 6 oz.
Erin’s guess on due date/gender/weight: March 03rd/Boy/7 lbs 2 oz.
So, the waiting game begins. In the meantime, we’ll be catching up on house projects, seeing as many movies as possible and enjoying the freedoms of our current child-free status.
