Baby Steps

We’ve been longing for warmer days this week. It’s that dead of winter time that we dread. Every year I think “why do we live in this climate?” I also seriously consider booking a last-minute flight to somewhere warm. The truth is the whole country is cold right now so that wouldn’t help much.

 At any rate, here we are living in Minnesota. It’s a good thing for us to make the best of the winter months. When it warms up to 15 degrees we take the sled out for a stroll around the neighborhood. During weeks like this…where it barely warms up to 0, we spend our nights getting into shenanigans indoors. Part of those shenanigans include walking.  His main form of transportation is still crawling, but he’s been taking some steps here and there when it’s not too much of an inconvenience:

 

Youtube videos are another fun pastime. Pentatonix on Sesame Street, Pharell “Happy” & Daft Punk are some favorites.

 

Getting better acquainted with the sippy cup.

 

Running around nakey, because why not?

 

 

And reading. Lots and lots of reading. It’s the same books over and over again, but a least it occupies our time. Cheers to the stay at home moms who entertain their children all day during these winter months!
